How this all Started…

As I have said previously my husband has a successful consulting business, which allows for me to attend some of the business/development conferences.  One that I insist on attending every year is put on by a company in St. Albert Alberta….Fast Track Super Conference. I believe this year was  the 4th or 5th time I have attended.  Year after year, the Fast Track Organization finds amazing speakers, who not only educate about business and Financial Literacy.  But they also inspire, captivate, and motivate the group to do better not only in business, but also as individuals.  Some speakers I have had the pleasure of hearing speak are the one and only George Foreman, Dragons Den Dragons Robert Herjavec and Arlene Dickinson, CEO of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, The Author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki, along with several of his advisers.

Once again, returning from that atmosphere of rejuvenation, and inner reflection, I decided to do something with it, instead of just letting everything fizzle out.  Hence starting this blog.  I have no idea if  this is something anyone (outside of my own family) will read, or even think twice about.  But it is mine, and my thoughts, ideas and experiences, coupled with the teaching of some extraordinary people I have met along the way.

It’s not about what it is, it’s about what it can become.”

It has been a really long time since I wrote some thing of substance for the sole purpose of writing.  I think that is why I thought I would start a blog.  I am married with 2 wonderful children 5 and 7.  My husband has a successful business, which affords me the luxury of being at home with our children, which I have done for the most part since our oldest was born.  I have a background in social work, and spent several years as a child protection worker, but I have a new found interest in business and  the financial benefits of business.  This has made me me question how I talk about and teach the idea of money to my children.  How do I answer their questions to get them to think outside of the conventional box.

For the most part, this blog will be the means for me to record and share my successes and failures in this adventure.
